Warm Up
Tic Tac Toe Race
Set up the tic tac toe board 30 yards out. Break kids into two teams. One team member at a time runs down to the board (at the same time). They can either place one of their bags onto the board or remove one of the opposing team’s bags. The team to get three in a row first, wins!
Skill
hurdle jumping:
Start with holding a PVC pipe low and have them jump over with both feet. As you raise it, demonstrate how you may have to change your jump to get over. They can do one leg at a time like hurdle jump; anything is allowed if it gets them over!
Metcon (Checkmark)
Obstacle Course AMRAP
Kids will line up and run through the course as often as possible in 9 minutes. They may begin once the kid in front of them starts the bear crawl.
Course:
PVC setup between jerk blocks at a height they can jump.
5 hula hoops set up for bunny hops.
10-yard bear crawl.
PVC setup between jerk blocks at a higher position. They can either jump over or crawl underneath.
Run back to get back in line.
