Crossfit Lillington – Mayhem Affiliate – Kids (5-8)
Warm Up
Running warmup. Line kids up, set up a cone 15 yards out. This warmup also focuses on following directions, so the work will be different each time. For example, you could tell them to skip down and jog back to the line. On the next one, instruct them to jog to the cone, perform 3 burpees, then jog back. Call outdifferent instructions for 7-8 minutes.
Skill
box get overs:
Start out low, demonstrating how to place palms flat on top of the box, jump up high and hold yourself up with your arms, and then swing one leg around. Let them go as high as they can.
Metcon (AMRAP – Rounds and Reps)
Team AMRAP 6:00
Split kids into teams based on the box height they can successfully get over.
The teammate performs one box get over, 10-yard bear crawl, 10-yard run to a cone, then runs all the way back and tags the next teammate.
