Crossfit Lillington – Mayhem Affiliate – Kids (5-8)
Warm-up
Simple running warm up. You can do this while all standing in a circle. Do 3 rounds of:
10 calf raises
10 jumps without bending knees first (tricky!)
10 jumping squats
THEN relay races.
Divid into 4-5 teams. The run is:
5 yards down and back
10 yards down and back,
tag next teammate. The first team done, wins!
Skill
Jumping high. Hold a PVC pipe at varying heights for them to jump over. Model that they can jump with two feet over, like a rabbit. Or if it’s higher, they can hurdle jump. Let them practice both ways.
Metcon (AMRAP – Rounds and Reps)
Obstacle course AMRAP 8 minutes
Divide back into teams. The course is:
5 yard run
1 burpee
Jump over pipe (set up between two boxes)
Run 5 yards, touch line
Run back 5 yards
Crawl under pipe
1 burpee
5 yard run
Tag teammate.
They can return to the back of t
